Now let's discuss the Walmart Credit Card. This may also be referred to as a Walmart Store Card. This card is full credit, meaning it is not prepaid. This type of card is used to purchase items on credit, and the cardholder does not pay the balance until after the purchase has been made.

The Walmart Credit Card is created to aid frequent Walmart customers in their purchases and maximize their savings, with up to 3% cash back.

This card is not meant to be used outside of the Walmart enterprise. It can be used at any Walmart supercenter or marketplace, Sam's, Murphy's, and Walmart-associated gas stations.

Using Them With Paypal

As previously discussed, the Walmart Credit Card is full credit and is unable to be used at any location other than the Walmart enterprises. This also excludes Paypal.

The nice thing about the fee is that it can be waived, and quite easily. If your monthly deposit meets or exceeds $1,000, then the fee will be waived for the following month.

Now, let's talk about cash back. You can get 3% cash back at Walmart.com, 2% cash back at Murphy's or Walmart-associated gas stations, and 1% cash back at any Walmart store. This includes Sam's.

The disappointment in all of this is that the cash back from Walmart MoneyCard is limited to only $75 per year. While this may not seem like a substantial amount of money, if you use this as part of your plan to maximize savings in all areas of your budget, it's a good amount.

How Can I Add Money To My Walmart MoneyCard?

There are a few tried and true ways to add cash to your Walmart MoneyCard account. The first is to have your paycheck deposited directly onto the card. You can do this by talking with your payroll or benefits office and asking for a direct deposit request form.

From there, you can get your account and banking number by texting DD at 37267. You can use this information to fill out the form.

Another way to add money to your Walmart MoneyCard is by physically depositing cash at any Walmart store. You can do this by visiting a cashier and telling them you would like to do a "rapid reload" to your Walmart MoneyCard.

You can then give the cashier cash and swipe your card. The cash will then be available for use within 10 minutes. You should know, however, that this method will cost you $3, similar to an ATM fee.

You can also add money to your card electronically using the Walmart MoneyCard app.  This app can be used to deposit amounts between $20 and $1,500.

You will be sent a deposit code to use, and you can receive up to three deposit codes per day for your use. There is no fee for this method, and your cash will be available to you within 10 minutes.

Depositing checks is another way to add money to your card. You can deposit any preprinted check, such as a payroll or government check. Personal checks are excluded.
